The Government of the Virgin Islands announces that the Honourable Dr Natalio D. Wheatley, Premier and Minister of Finance, will deliver the 2026 Budget Address tomorrow, Thursday, November 6, 2025, under the theme “Pillars of Progress – Building a Sustainable Nation.”
The address will be broadcast live at 10:00 a.m. on the Government of the Virgin Islands’ official Facebook page and on ZBVI Radio.
The 2026 Budget Address marks the third presentation by Premier Wheatley under this administration. It continues the Government’s steadfast commitment to long-term national development, guided by the principles of sustainability, resilience, and prosperity for all Virgin Islanders.
Premier Wheatley stated that the 2026 theme, “Pillars of Progress,” builds on last year’s theme, “Laying the Blocks of Success,” both of which are derived from the National Sustainable Development Plan (NSDP) – Vision 2036: Building a Sustainable Virgin Islands.
He emphasised that the ratification of the NSDP in February 2023 marked a significant step in charting a course toward a sustainable future. “It was the beginning of our journey to build a sustainable nation,” Hon Wheatley said. “A journey begun by our ancestors and one that will lead to an inheritance that future generations can enjoy, just as those before us once did.”
The 2026 Budget, framed around the NSDP’s strategic priorities, underscores the Government’s dedication to fiscal responsibility, economic diversification, social development, and environmental stewardship, the key “pillars” supporting the Virgin Islands’ continued progress.
Following the presentation, the complete 2026 Budget Address and related documents will be made available to the public through official Government channels.
